Rachel Peterson, FNP
Rachel Peterson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner that began her career as a pediatric nurse. She is from a small town in rural Ohio, and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Rachel then realized she preferred caring for humans, and went on to study nursing at Case Western Reserve University's Frances Payne Bolton's School of Nursing. She completed her BSN in 2005 and worked as a pediatric RN for three years before graduating from Case Western with a Master of Science in Nursing and becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2008 and worked in the Internal Medicine & Pediatrics division treating infants, children, and adults for 14 years before joining Dr. Moini at Emerald Direct Primary Care in 2022.
Her special interests include: general health and wellness, asthma, women's health, and anticoagulation.
Rachel resides in Auburn Township with her husband, three children, and lots of animals! She lived in Shaker Heights for 11 years prior to moving to Geauga County. She enjoys spending time with her family, teaching Sunday school, going to Playhouse Square to watch a play or the Ballet, being outdoors, and working out at her local gym with her friends!
