Weight Wellness Program
Losing weight is hard.
Our food is different.
Our day-to-day lives have changed.
And there is a LOT of misinformation out there.
Our Philosophy:
If you had high blood pressure or diabetes, you would see a doctor, right?
Obesity is also a chronic disease, one that is not only related to food and movement, but also metabolism, hormones, medical conditions, sleep, stress...it's complex. So why look for "treatment" in a "clinic" in a strip mall?

At Emerald Direct Primary Care, we have the medical knowledge as well as clinical and personal experience to fully evaluate your condition. Each individual is unique and as a result each person receives personalized recommendations and treatment plans. There is no medicine or plan that is a one-size-fits-all for obesity...that's simply not how health works.

We Believe In:

Sustainability
Diets don't work. No one wants to drink meal replacement shakes when they're 80. Plus food is meant to be enjoyed, not feared.

Slow & Steady Wins the Race
Rapid weight loss leads to rapid weight regain. By implementing habits slowly and methodically over time, we reach our goal of gradual weight loss that you can naturally sustain.

Focusing on Health & Education
We are in this for the long haul. Instead of dictating a plan to follow, we focus on teaching you what is healthy living and how to do it on your own. Our goal is to give you the fundamental knowledge you need to pursue an enjoyable healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Megan Moini received additional training in obesity by becoming a board certified Obesity Medicine Physician. She believes in assessing and monitoring each person's health, not just the number on a scale. This involves reviewing everything from underlying health conditions to sleep habits. As your guide through your weight loss journey, she'll be monitoring multiple facets of your health, along with metabolic markers in your blood, and your overall health.
Dr. Babak Moini made significant changes in his own lifestyle more than 10 years ago and lost 30 pounds. Now a recreational triathlete and healthy lifestyle advocate, he uses his personal and clinical experience to help his patients make long lasting incremental changes in all aspects of their lifestyle. Dr. Moini helps patients to look at healthy living as an enjoyable long lasting journey rather than a strict diet program.
